Gunnison Valley Hospital has a full-time Housekeeper opening for day shifts. Ideal start date will be late September 2010. Responsibilities include daily cleaning, sanitizing, and restorative cleaning of patient rooms, auxiliary areas, laboratories, operating rooms and other areas assigned in accordance with standard.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Individual must possess basic English reading skills and ability to follow simple oral and written instructions understanding. Gunnison Valley Hospital an immediate openings for a Full-time Physical Therapist. Live, play, work in an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise on Colorado’s beautiful western slope! The physical therapist works with patients and clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes. The goal of the physical therapist is to alleviate discomfort and restore function, while providing education on prevention and wellness issues. The caseload for this position is made up of 90% orthopedic outpatient and 10% inpatient.

A Diploma from an approved program of Physical Therapy is required as well as clinical training or past experience in orthopedic physical therapy. Must hold or be eligible for a valid Colorado State PT license. To apply, see instructions below.

Gunnison Valley Hospital has an immediate opening for a part-time Speech Therapist. The speech pathologist evaluates and treats patients under the supervision of a physician utilizing the parameters established by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Must hold a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence as outlined by ASHA and a Masters Degree form an approved program of Speech/Language Pathology.

Gunnison Valley Health's Assisted Living has an immediate opening for a part-time Housekeeper. The primary purpose of this job is to perform the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping & laundry section. To assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, and that residents living areas are clean, neat and sanitary at all times. As a housekeeper, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountablility necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

A High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have demonstrated the ability to learn the functions of this job during past employment. Must posses the ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, use of equipment etc. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
